The five concepts that relate to my family that I am going to be talking about in my essay is Erikson’s theory of socioemotional development, parenting styles, theories of aging (applying to my family members, prejudice (race, racism) and coping with stress. In the first paragraph, I talked about Erikson’s theory of Socioemotional Development, I also found an article about Erikson’s theory of socioemotional development online and I talked about how it related to my family members. In the second paragraph, I talked parenting styles and what kind of parenting styles that my parent use, I also found the definition of authoritarian parent in an article that I found online and I talked about how that related to my family members. In the third paragraph, I talked about the theories of aging, I also talked about the three different theories of aging and how I picked the Cellular-Clock theory and I talked about it also. I also found the definition of the Cellular Clock theory in an article that I found online and I then talked about how it related to my family members. In the fourth paragraph, I talked about stereotypes, I also found the definition of stereotypes in article that I found online and I talked about how that related to my family members. In my final paragraph, I talked about coping with stress and the two ways of coping with stress. The type of coping with stress that I decided to focus is emotion-focused coping.
