Our childhood environment dictates who we grow up to become. If it was a positive and caring environment, a person can grow up to be an outstanding law-abiding citizen. Likewise, in an undesirable environment with criminal activities and the daily struggle, a person will grow up with negative attitude toward society. He or she probably resorts to crimes as a mean a life, since it is all that they know. Therefore, I prefer the social disorganization theory over anomie as a mean to preclude crimes. By creating changes to the neighborhood or concentrate area, we can hone in on an individual problem and try to remedy it. The result will be more visible since there is continuously interactions between the people.
