It is critical that health professionals understand health factors contributing to a person’s health in the health care practice, as a person’s health is affected by many factors or social determinants. These social determinants are Housing, Income, and Environment. Also it’s beneficial and important for an individual to understand or have knowledge about these factors to allow them to make worthy decisions about their health or have an acceptable health behaviors. When a person has low income and education background, this could lead to poor lifestyle choices such as, bad eating habits, smoking etc. if these lifestyle choices are continued in a long term and they could lead to chronic illness or diseases, such as lung cancer and obesity. Income affects an individual seeking health care due to lack or money to afford treatments or medications. Homelessness affects people to utilize health care because of lack of housing. Lastly but not least environment has a huge health factor to humans because of the climate change and global warming, which increases the spread of water born disease and natural disaster. When providing quality and affordable care these social determinates of health may vary from person to person there ore they need to be considered. To initiate this, social support can be implemented and create community support with resource that could be used for education purposes to the community
