With regards to asylum, the platform calls for increased rights for those coming to the UK seeking asylum. The leadership of the Labour Party also supports decreasing restrictions on immigrants. However, some members of the leadership have publically disagreed with this stance indicating that support for increased benefits for immigrants would not be supported by the Social Democrats.
