Fear, why do we like it? Dr. Kerr states that our bodies react to scary things by releasing dopamine, boosting self-confidence. Since 2005, the amount of money spent on Halloween has doubled to 7.5 billion dollars. What is the reason for this sudden increase in spending? According to Allegra Rango’s interview Dr. Kerr, “a scare specialist” discusses the dopamine is released into the brain and produce a natural high.
