Social Comfortability

From being a daughter, girlfriend, shift leader, or a team member I have learned through experiences that communication is one's strongest asset. While I may be extroverted I have encountered different people with divergent forms of social comfortability. My experiences have allowed me to branch out in social settings as a leader or a team member, to lend a helping hand or to receiving a hand, to be confident in my ability to complete a task in a timely manner, and to give verbal instructions or listen to someone elses.

However, every person whether you are an ambivert, introvert, or extrovert, one will have flaws within the way they communicate. People who are around me enough know my body language and what it entails. For instance, when I am upset at someone I won't make eye contact, my lips will be pursed, and my arms will be crossed. Learning my mannerisms and what I look like to by-standards around me has made me become aware of my facial expressions and my posture. Half of the elderly was there for rehab and half lived within the facility. I developed a sense of compassion for them because many were in pain, suffered from dementia, and wanted to live back at home. I felt I could relieve their sadness best by being a friendly face and keeping them company. After volunteering for a couple weeks I was lucky enough to leave a positive impact on their lives.
