The ability to apply all of the constructs of SCT to one public health issue may be challenging; especially when developing a focused public health program. The community level influence appears to have successfully initiated change in the environment and teen expectancies that encompass the use of alcohol by reducing teen access to alcohol, changing norms, and reducing alcohol use among high school students (Glanz et al., 2002).
