Social Classes My oral presentation was about the social classes in Persepolis compared to The Kite Runner. Since social organization is an element of culture, social classes are significant to fully understanding the culture of a country. And thus, researching and presenting information about social classes developed my understanding of cultural elements. For example, I learned about how different social classes in Persepolis and The Kite Runner impacted the cultures of Iran and Afghanistan. In Iran, the setting of Persepolis, people were required to stay within their social class. This can be seen when Marjane’s maid cannot continue to love the next-door neighbor because he was in a higher social class. In Afghanistan, the setting of The
