The Republic was declining by itself. The Right party and Nazi did not have to do much to gain power or popularity. The negative results of the SPD and Democratic policies demonstrated how desperate the society was suffering. Back in Northiem, Allen revealed the city’s motive and desperation to look for a better economy solution. Allen wrote, “The sense of Hopelessness that the workers acquired through this experience engendered a mood of rage and despair over the summer of 1932, and led ultimately to a feeling of resignation that helped insure a frictionless seizure of power by the Nazis in Northeim after 1933.” In other words, Nazi came into power because the desperation of people of Northeim. The Republic was suffering nationally; city such as Northeim reflected the crisis that was consuming the society. Then again, why did the Weimar Republic fail? As Eric D. Wietz gave an insight of the Republic, the Weimar Republic suffered from Political division, Socialism and economic crisis. These sufferings were not settled in Weimar. The consequence for the unsettlement, it created three major political parties that were as Right, Center and Left. The parties that cause biggest headache for Republic was Right and Left parties. Moreover, Sheridan Allen wrote and described Northeim’s events that represented the problem of Weimar Republic. These two authors wrote two different aspects of the Germany. Weitz gave a national perspective and Allen gave a municipal perspective. After World War I, Germany Empire was not longer exist. The Democrat government tried to renaissance Germany Empire. The problem was the Democratic Party did not know how to do it. Germany did need a fresh start after the World War I. The Weimar Republic was not right call for Germany to rehabilitated from the War. Unfortunately, as the Republic was established, for many Germans the Republic represented failure and disunity.
