Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe explains the awful horrors caused by slavery. In this novel, Harriet explains the inhumane actions committed by the characters by including many examples of the abomination. The author communicated the message to the reader by giving many examples throughout the book, including, how slaves were treated with the harsh conditions they had to go through (laws/conditions), how the Bible changed the way of life for slaves , and relationships slaves and their masters had with each other throughout the book.
Throughout Uncle Tom’s Cabin it is very clear that slaves were treated with no respect, and hated throughout the country by the majority. In the beginning of the book we are told that Uncle Tom and his

But that doesn't mean that slaves and their masters didn't have meaningful relationships with each other. A very important connection in Uncle Tom’s Cabin is Toms and Mr. Shelbys. As an upperclassman Shelby, was it was very uncommon in the era to have such a trustful relationship with between two contradicting classes. The relationship was so strong that Mr. Shelby promised Uncle Tom his freedom when he collects the money to do so. Unfortunately this promise was not able to take effect because of the numerous beatings that Legree laid upon Uncle Tom, which led to the death of the nice humble christian man (p.368). This was not the only relationship that mattered through the book, another important one is George’s with Tom. Imagine back then how cruel masters were to their slaves and did not trust them with anything. Because of this negative way of life we are astonished on how someone like Mr. Shelby trusts Uncle Tom to be accompanied by their only son George. This was not just a one time thing George would go to Tom for everything, and even practiced Toms literary skills. A relationship that was different with Tom and his masters would be for example Dodo and his master Henrique. Although these two characters were not mentioned very often in the novel their relationship can play as an example. Dodo was a very quite servant who did what he was told, but Henrique was not like Mr. Shelby or St. Claire who were patient and understanding, he was very abusive and cruel. This relationship was much different than any of Tom's relations. This example was used to compare the relationships between a “good” master rather than a bad master. To conclude the book Uncle Tom’s death was far from meaningless, because of the loyalness displayed from Tom while working on Shelby's plantation, Shelby granted all of his servants to be free with wagers for Tom’s

If I were to compare Uncle Tom’s Cabin to another story, that would be, Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist. Since the stories’ focus was the racial discrimination of black people to white people long time ago. Oliver and Uncle Tom are both religious people though they’ve experienced slavery. They never lose their faith to God no matter how cruel and difficult the world is to them. They have both found their selves in several situations where their faith in God is severely tested.…

The Constitution was created to replace the Articles of Confederation, since the Articles of Confederation granted too little power to the federal government, which caused Shay’s rebellion. Within the Constitution, there are laws that both limit and give power to the federal government and other laws that protected citizen’s natural rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness or property. The Constitution that was once the cause of national unity caused the Union to split into two separate sides: the abolitionist North, and the slave-holding South. The reasoning of this is mainly due to the Constitution’s ability to adapt to changes according the circumstances.…

Tom was able to get many letters written and sent back to his family members that were still owned my Mr. and Mrs. Shelby. Mrs. Shelby allowed Chloe, Tom’s wife, to keep the money she had earned work for the man (add job she did) to save up to buy Tom back so he could be owned by the Shelbys again. Tom's first owner, Mr. Shelby, was kind but careless. He was on the farm in Kentucky, Mr. Shelby was relatively humane to his slaves - but when his family finances were poorly led to his debt, he thinks that there’s no other choice for him other than selling his slaves to maintain his family business and life, but he did not fully reflect the fact that his deal with the Blackley implicated him throughout the slave trade system. St. Clair, who wants to have the moral problems of the slaves, but without it, do anything, Legley, who, like Shelby, no time to waste in the moral thinking of having slaves, but with the Shelby is different, is a cruel tyrant waved his power without impunity. St. Clare is a gentleman of Louisiana who has aristocratic descent, and he is very smart to admit that slavery is a system of ills, but his mother's death and his first love of failure make him emotional and moral are at a disadvantage. He will not take the initiative to hurt his…

Slavery was a time where people suffered harsh beatings, working all day and night, and an era where no one wants to go back. It was a time where life was not fair for people and where half of America begged for equality. Uncle Tom’s Cabin was written for a specific purpose, to demonstrate the “living dramatic reality” of slavery, as author Harriet Beecher Stowe put it. Many people, especially those in the North, had no clue what was happening on the other side of the country. They did not know the day-to-day hardships of African Americans living in slavery, and literary works could provide these details in the form of exciting, dramatized stories.…
