Social Mobility And Social Class

Social class is what makes up our society, we have low, middle and upper class. When you put lower class into consideration they have many disadvantages and less opportunities in life. Such as a higher education, or better paying career opportunities compared to someone who is middle/upper class. Studies have shown that children grow up to be, in the same social class as their parents. For upper class children this is a good thing, they will continually have the resources needed to achieve their life ambitions and middle class will have a good chance to achieve their desires also. Unlike a child raised in a lower class, were the parents can’t afford food let alone tuition for a private school or any extra after school activities. On the contrary, there is a perk for the lower/middle class called social mobility. In other words, social mobility gives lower/middle class an opportunity to improve their social class to middle or upper class and on the other hand the upper class can decrease their social class to middle or lower class.
