For this UCO I was supposed to learn about social change and social issues, however, what I learned is not limited to the title of the course. I learned an appreciable amount more; majority of what I learned came from the conversations held in class. From these conversations, I learned the value of compromise, open mindedness, respect, and empathy. Everyone does not have the same views as I, and I have to be open minded by listening to their opinions, and responding in a respectful manner. If both of our views get in the way of coming up with a solution, I have to be empathic,by thinking about the person and the situation. And coming up with a balanced solution that incorporates both of our views and opinions. The greatest characteristic I learned is patience; everyone is a natural born leader, but we all can not lead at once. You have to wait your turn, and your time of leadership will come. I can continue talking about what I have learned, but you’ll be reading for hours. But, note what I have learned from this course are life changing skills that will benefit me in the long run. You proposed the question “ what grade do you think you deserve for this class?”, and my response is I know I deserve an A. Which is a pretty bias answer, but what student struggling just trying to make C’s would not say they deserve an A when asked. Not trying to be arrogant or cocky, but I contributed a lot to the classroom environment, but I learned a lot from it. Despite taking 16 credit…
