Social boundaries are what separate people into groups of individual with similarity in society. Which in society social boundaries are based on social and economic status. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is about the protagonists Elizabeth and her sisters dealing with the idea of marriage, social class and finding true love. In addition, Elizabeth is similar to Elinor one of the protagonists in Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. It is about Elinor and Marianne who both experience love, romance and heartbreak. Both novels revolve around the topic of social class and the theme that both female protagonist overcome their social class and social boundaries. Firstly, both characters have social expectations to follow and a reputation to uphold.
