People of all ages can improve the quality of their lives and reduce the risks of developing coronary heart disease, hypertension, some cancers and type 2 diabetes with ongoing participation in moderate exercise. Furthermore, daily exercise can also enhance one’s mental well-being and promote healthy musculoskeletal function throughout life. Although habitual physical activity is an attainable goal on the path to a healthier life, more than half of adults worldwide do not get 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise per day at least five days per week. When a person exercises, muscles move, and to move muscles the person needs oxygen in the blood and the heart has to pump blood in a faster rhythm to keep the muscles moving. The role of exercise manages stress as a preventive intervention as opposed to a corrective intervention. The moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, performed 3 times a week with sessions lasting over 20 minutes for up to 12 weeks, has the most influence on stress management. The most favorable approach to weight loss is one that includes committed cardiovascular exercise, resistance training, and caloric restriction within a sound behavioral-modification exercise. Weight loss is achieved most effectively when cardiovascular exercise is increased up to 200-300 minutes of moderate-intensity activity accumulated over 5-7 days. Everything needs to be balanced and not overdoing it for it affects the human body. Evidently, exercise burns calories so someone needs to balance his or her time of doing exercise in order moderate his or her body and not to cause other problems with exercise. Although there are many benefits to exercise, if not done in moderation there can be problems. Exercising too much can be harmful to someone’s body possibly causing them to lose too much weight. Over-exercise may also affect a person because they focus solely on exercise but may not to be able to work or do his or her daily work.
