In the article" Is this you?" by Kristen Lewis, with Carolyn Gregorio, there is a relationship between technology and stress. The more students are using technology, the more stress is being put on them. The article states " Technology allows kids to be on 24/7, sharing, posting, and tweeting with legions of people. This stops kids from doing their work and may cause stress. " In this case, the kids are not doing their work and only on their electronics.…

In today's society American teens start the school year off energized and eager to learn. Although, over time some of the students’ performance plummets.. Many say it’s from being exhausted or overworked. However, two different articles suggests the idea that young teenagers are growing tense and overburdened from the vigorous workload. One of the Articles written by Frank Bruni titled, "Today's Exhausted Superkids" argues that teenagers' stress and exhaustion are correlated to procrastination in school courses.…

In the book, “The Smartest Kids in the World” the issue I found interesting is how education is very important in other countries. People would think that America’s education system should over power other foreign countries, because we have more money and better educational opportunities for our children. In America, I believe the education system is sets children up for failure. It is very important how we raised our children and how much we encourage them to peruse their educations after high school is finished. ` In today’s society the young children have the newest technology like I-pods and cell phones.…
I have never put much thought into stress, but as time went on I realized how stress genuinely decide our future. There were various points I was interested in, but there are three main points I personally found intriguing: stress can sometimes be manipulated to a greater extent, the amount of stress varies depending on what rank you are associated with in a society, and also how stress can extensively affect a person’s health. Stress can sometimes be manipulated to a greater extent.…
An aggressive dog doesn’t bite; a scared one does. That fact didn’t compute for my father when I lashed out at him. Nor did it compute when he retaliated with force. Force in the form of a fist. A fist to my upper thigh.…
I’m sweating, shaking, contemplating running, going to the bathroom and hoping I get to be alone, anything. All I have to do is talk to the teacher and I’m losing it. Social anxiety is very serious and for years I struggled with the fact that I was extremely lacking in social skills and could barely talk to even my closest friends at times. Social anxiety is the condition of having an excessive and unreasonable fear of social situations.…
People who have performance anxiety have no difficulty with social interaction. It’s when they have to do something in front of people that anxiety takes over and they get worked up over the possibility of embarrassing themselves in front of others. Simple things in everyday life like eating in a restaurant, signing a piece of paper in front of a clerk, speaking up, or going to parties can provoke performance anxiety. For males with performance anxiety, urinating in a public restroom is often quite difficult. This is called “bashful bladder” or paruresis, which simply means the inability to urinate in the presence of others.…
YOUNG CHILDREN SHOULD NOT OWN CELL PHONES Children should not be allowed to own cellular devices nor take them to school because it can negatively impact their mental and physical growth and development. Children’s physical development could be negatively impacted by the excessive use of smartphones. Generally, children are unable to set boundaries for themselves nor able to determine when to put the phone down in order to get the appropriate hours of sleep required for a healthy development which could make the child sleep-deprived. Lack of sleep is a serious factor that could affect school-age children in their development. A child who spends hours glued to their smartphones are more likely to be sleep-deprived.…
