Would you ever be a witch? The Crucible is about the witch trials that happen in Salem, Massachusetts. Abigail and her friends are caught in the woods dancing around a fire. When they are discovered they are now being accused by the church of England of witchcraft. This brings on social activism which is the intentional action with the goal of bring about social change in society. The two themes Reputation/Respect and Following the Group were used by the Arthur Miller in The Crucible as a form of social activism
