Soccer Vs Football Research Paper

There are many similarities between soccer and football, but there are also various differences. For example soccer and football differ in rules and regulations, such as time limit, purpose of the game, scoring system and other reasons. Soccer consist of two 45 minute half’s, while football uses 4 15 minute quarters. Also soccer and football contain different amount of teams in the league. Football consists of 32 professional teams, although soccer contains 20,000 clubs and 207 national teams. Finally and primarily football and soccer differ in gender. Football only contains males, but soccer contains both males and females. Females can play football but not nationally. They only play for clubs or for recreation not for rewards or championships.

    The game of football has evolved in many ways, from hitting to the play clocks to turf and grass fields. The play clocks have changed because they were 45 seconds but now they are 40 seconds, usually by the time the referee sets the ball down they have about 25 seconds to snap the ball or it is a delay of game, and that is a 5 yard penalty.
