Soccer Skills Narrative Essay

It was my first season playing with Storm. I was excited to play because I knew it would help me develop my soccer skills and mentality of the game. So I went to tryouts and a week later my mom received an email that I had been placed the 02 Boys Black, one of the highest teams in the academy. I went to training and met my team. Two of my friends were on the team. Seeing the other kids play I knew how more talented they were than me. So I knew I had to step up my game. I was becoming more aggressive and started to understand more of the game. The harder I trained the stronger I became and the more skills I gained.

It was the first game of the season and I started. I was so nervous but I knew I had the skills and mentality to win. The first half passed with the score 0-0. Our coach told us we were dominating the game we just needed to get a couple shots on goal. The second half started and in the first minutes I scored. The game went on and we won 2-0. The season went on. Our season record was 10-0-0, we were undefeated

The first game was difficult but we pulled through and got the win. The rest of the tournament was a breeze until we got to the final. We knew who our opponent would be, CESA 01 Gold, the #1 team for 01s in South Carolina. We came out the first half exhausted. We were down 2-1 and we needed a miracle. Second half started and we got a goal down. The score was now 2-2 and the second half was coming to a close. We got a last minute corner, everyone was up the field even our keeper. I remember the ball floating in the air towards me. I headed it in to the back of the net and could remember everyone yelling goal. I couldn’t believe I had just scored. We won the game and were now 1st in SC for 02s. After that season the team was separated. Some left the academy but many stayed. We continue to work hard and bring wins for the
