April 5th: This was my first lesson with Henry. I was pretty excited, as this would probably be my first time playing soccer. I have played with friends before, but it wasn’t very serious. Now that I get to improve on my soccer game, I am pretty excited. At first Henry focused a lot on dribbling. He explained to me that I need to get familiar with the soccer ball, and the best way was to just dribble around. We did a drill where I had to dribble in and out of pylons, and I messed up quite a bit. I am not sure how I took but it felt like a minute or two. Since I am mostly in charge of recording the videos of our drills, I brought a camera and since we didn’t have anything to lean it on, we put on our problem solving hats

I was pretty excited as I really want to play soccer. For most of today’s lesson we did passing and it felt really awkward for me. From transitioning from basketball where I used my hands to pass to soccer where I have to use my feet just feels slightly awkward and I will have to practice more on that. April 18th : Today we worked on more shooting. I only made two out of the twenty shots I took, I think it’s because my cleats don’t really fit me well. I think they are a size too big, and might have to buy an extra sole to make the cleats fit. We did the dribbling drill again, and this time I felt like I improved a little bit. For the recording part we just decided it was a better idea to have Henry just hold the camera and record, even though the original plan was to have Henry and me in the same

He helped me and showed me how to tackle, told me how to position, and we did some passing with me, Henry and Wilson. Finally Wilson took some shots and I got to see how he shot the soccer ball so I could replicate it. We moved on from the pylon drill on to just regular passing, and I am glad that happened. Even though the simple passing is really quite simple, it is effective in my opinion and solved the problem we had with the previous passing drill. This time we improved a lot in the recordings, as we now don’t face the sun so our videos are lot brighter and now we filmed it so you can see what everyone is doing, even though it’s a bit shaky at times since we have to run with the
