What is soccer? Where and when was soccer discovered? Soccer is “a game played by two teams of eleven players with a round ball.”(2015, Para 1). Furthermore, soccer has been around about the 1850’s (2015. Para. 4). Soccer is a hard sport because it involves running, kicking, blocking, shooting, communication, and more. People all around the world have been playing soccer. Although, not all countries call soccer ‘soccer’. Some countries call soccer football. Para.1). Furthermore, the defenders have to help out the goalkeeper to make sure that the other team doesn’t score a goal. Also, there are the midfielders that have to go up and down the field to help out the offenders and the defenders. Finally, there is the offenders which is “responsible for scoring in a game” (2015.
