“Why Soccer Is The Best Sport” Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Especially in third world countries, soccer is played often for a few reasons: fun, requires little equipment, and easy to understand. In my opinion, soccer is the best sport in the world. I believe this because, along with the reasons above, soccer teaches great life lessons and players get a lot of exercise. Soccer is a great sport; the games are especially fun. Soccer is a great way to make friends and have fun. The competitiveness of the sport also attracts people to it. Soccer can lead to injury, although not as often as many other sport. Depending on the position being played, a player can run as much as 9.5 miles a game. In soccer players are almost constantly moving for the entire ninety minute game unless you are subbed out. Midfielders and outside defenders will usually run the most on a team. Soccer players also build a lot a leg muscle from running and kicking. Players shift between jogging and sprinting throughout the game. When a team wins they are able to see how their hard work paid off; when they lose, what they need to work on. To win a game, the team has to want it. This means getting to the ball and working hard. Based off eleven years of experience, I have found that there is always something to learn and get better at whether it 's improving a shot or whether its getting a better understanding of the game or whether its teaching how to do a new trick. I have and still do play other sports besides soccer, but I have always been drawn back to soccer because of the challenge it offers me. There is never an easy game. A team might play a team that is not good, but players still have to work hard if they want to win. Whether you enjoy watching soccer or whether you don’t, you should still give playing a
