Now going through all that bulling can be hard, but if you have the passion for something you want to do in the future you can’t let anything get in your way... I’m now going to share some success stories, I’m first one is about probably the greatness soccer player of all time, Lionel Messi. He was born in argentine city of Rosario on the river, His dad worked in a steel factory and his mother was a part time cleaner. They didn’t have a lot of money, but was playing for a small youth team in the city… he then moved to another youth team and was recognised as the short boy who could dance with the ball… sadly, when he turn 11 he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, and he needed treatment, but the cost was far too expensive and his family could not pay for it, the situation seemed hopeless. Messi’s reputation spread to Europe as soccer teams around the continent began to hear of an Argentine protegy and so Barcelona’s Youth director invited him to try out for the team. From the minute Messi stepped on the pitch he shocked all those who played with him, he made defenders feel as if there was nothing they can do to stop him. Barcelona’s sporting director was confident Lionel was the type of youngster that the team needed and so he sat down with Lionel’s father in a local restaurant. In fact soccer is in the top three highest attended sports events in the world with 136,505. Continuing this soccer is the most watched sport around the world, it is known as the people’s game because it is all about the people and the supporters. We all come together to support our favourite team with all these other people we don’t even know. But all we know is they are sharing the same love you have for the team and sport. The world cup, the biggest sporting event that happens every four years, think about it, all these countries coming together as one. In the 2010 world cup there was a war going on against USA and Iraq, but the beautiful game of soccer brought them together and they made piece. It was one of the highlights of the 2010 cup… and it just shows how the beautiful game can bring us all
