Soccer in Los Angeles has been around since the beginning of the 19th century. Around 2,000 years ago, soccer originated in England and was usually referred to as “football”. Soccer grew in the early 1800’s and became a much popular sport in the 1900’s. In 1902, the Southern California Football League was founded. Los Angeles grew in popularity as soccer became much more of a favorite sport. Soccer Leagues began to grow around the city and some even came from different parts of the world. Soccer began to take off after World War II with the Metropolitan League, Olympic League and Southern California League joining the scene, now renamed the Greater Los Angeles League. It was a turning point for LA because several leagues began to join the fun and were spreading the sport wherever they went. The Project is expected to be cost $100 million dollars but it still needs approval from the Coliseum Commission and L.A. County Council. The soccer museum will be ready for the first Major League Soccer in 2018. The project will be completed for one year and there will be a conference center, restaurants and at the center there will be a 22000 seat-stadium (Baxter). They already get supported for the project by L.A Mayor Eric Garcetti and the approval is expected in July. The project might have a negative affects to the people in the area. They are convincing people to move out of the city to live a better life. The constructor is planning to those whose leave the city will get pay with the same amount of their house value. Officials said it will a tough job for them to convince people those who live in the neighbor for almost rest of their life. Those who do not follows the order will be forced to leave the
