In my neighborhood right now, my soccer field is very worn down and dangerous to young kids if they were to fall or hit a piece of equipment or to maybe trip on the garbage on the ground. I believe we should change that and fix our old soccer field and make it brand new and safe for young kids. This is one of the best ways my neighborhood can change to make a newer, safer outside environment. If you are with your kids and you do not want to play with them, you can sit on the benches and watch them without having trees in the way of your view. It will make it so much safer for kids and you can watch them to make sure they don’t get hurt or something bad happens to them. One last main reason I believe we should make a new soccer field or fix our old one is if we do, then our neighborhood will look ten times as good as it looks right now. It will attract newer people to the area and whoever moves in will be giving more money into funding our neighborhood area allowing us to make newer things too. This will also help our neighborhood have a safer wildlife around us and will help not attract any bad wildlife that would get sick off of all the

Through the imprinting into popular culture, the idea of the football field has entered the American lexicon to no longer solely represent where one of the more popular sports in the United States is played. The idea of the football field, a 120-yard (360 feet) by 53-yard (160 feet) space has come to represent a unit of comparable scale. Grady Clay describes it as a ‘universal yardstick for describing complex environments,' and provides examples where it has been referenced to in many different scenarios. As architects, the sizing and scale of space or construct are hard to imagine from units of measurement alone for those not well versed in the field. In the American culture, we have developed comparisons to other objects to make the contrast easier to picture, such as using the size of a bus, the height of a notable building, or from this discussion the size of a football field.…

It was the Little Tokyo Community Development Advisory Committee that campaigned and established Little Tokyo’s historical district on East First Street. Some of the oldest Japanese American businesses in the country are on First Street, and so the rich culture plays a big role in establishing a sense of community in Little Tokyo.
