“It’s here,” the thought that comes to every student’s head on the first day of class. With hast and anxiety they take their seats, wondering what this semester will bring. As he look and see faces that could be future friends or even study buddies he wonders, “How will I do this semester?”, yet the most famous question is “Who is my professor?” Every college student hope’s that he will have good professor teaching them in hopes that he will receive good grades, however other than the student’s role, there are a few characteristics that a professor should have. In order to be a good professor he or she should be organized, knowledgeable, energetic and available. “3.14” a student yells. “Good, now can anyone tell me the first eleven digits of pie?” the professor asked and silence filled the room. “Let me see if you can figure it out. I tell you to walk down a block that has three buildings. I tell you to go to the third building its address is 1415. You walk up to the building and you notice the big bright red balloon and it has a flamingo attached to the bottom of the string. You then proceed to walk into the building and you see this sixty-five year old man and you tell him, ‘You’re the luckiest man in the world, you’re dating a thirty-five year old.’ Can you tell me the first eleven digits of pie?” The room is filled with silence again. “The first eleven digits of pie are 3.1415926535. You walked into the third building and its address was 1415. You noticed a balloon that looked like a nine to you, and the flamingo at the end almost looks like a two. Then you see this sixty-five year old man and you tell him that he is luckiest man in the world because he is dating a thirty-five year old. 3.1415926535 are the first eleven digits of pie.” The class erupted in conversation. An energetic professor is an inviting one. The dialogue makes the students eager to participate and keeps them edged to hear what they have to say
