So Yesterday Jen Character Analysis

Observing characters is a big part of every novel. Each one of them has traits that drive the story to the next event and if one character seemed off, the whole story could have been ruined before it got to the end. The book called “So Yesterday” by Scott Westerfeld centers on a character named Jen, she is one of the main characters in the story. If she or another character in place of her were taken out of the story, it would have ended the moment after the main character is introduced. Because of Jen, Hunter the main character and the story is driven along to many adventure. Before Jen was introduced in the novel, Hunter was a trendsetter. Her favorite hobbies include sports and fashion. She takes quiet the biggest risks in the novel and it turns out to be the best choices. When Hunter found her, he was amazed by how she looked like and did not think twice about who she really was. Jen is one of an adventurous girl, she takes an offer from hunter, she agrees to come along with him to his workplace, and then goes to a place where hunter’s boss calls them to meet her at. Jen does not even know who hunter is and what he really does at his job, and she still agreed to come along to everything she was asked to attend by hunter and his boss. From that point when she met Hunter she could have turned around and left Hunter alone but she thought that this would be a great adventure. Jen has a tendency to follow her intincse and she puts a lot of trust in it, most of her actions led to adventure with and without hunter. The deeper Jen digged into the mystery of hunter's boss, she was living her adventure. She also had no clue of what she was doing, she just chose to go along with what was happening. For example, when she said “I can’t believe I’m doing this...coming down here..”, Even if she knew what she was doing she was unsure about it, she was taking chances of once in a lifetime. Adventure, not many teenagers do that often
