One of the reasons is that their family is more active on it and they do not have the privacy that they used to. I can totally agree with this statement from my own personal experience. I have had aunts contact my parents just to let them know what I was up too by the things that I was posting. This really began to bother me and it gave me the feeling that members of my family were always watching me. Another reason why younger people are leaving facebook is that anything that is posted on that site is forever and cannot be taken away. This makes one become more aware of what they are posting and it forces them to act more professionally. She thinks that all of the privacy in social media is causing this problem, but I would have to disagree that there is a problem here at all. Just because less young people are using facebook all of the time doesn’t mean that they have stopped using it completely. I think that social media can benefit people by have both a private and public side of it. One site like facebook for example can but used to show the professional side of someone while something like snapchat can be used for personal pleasure. To think that young people are not sharing their ideas on social media platforms is insane. Social media is one the primary ways people of the younger demographic get their ideas out to the public. Take twitter for instance the main idea of that site is to establish are brand for oneself and to try to promote that brand by putting your ideas out into the public
