It was a sunny 56 degree day here in Beaver Creek, Colorado and I was ready to make my snowboarding debut. I woke up with a spark of energy and I was ready to go up to the lift, but first I had to go and get my purple and black snowboard. After I had my snowboard in hand I walked outside. While I was making my way up to the lift, my stomach was flipping 100mph and I saw all of the kids struggling to get on the lift. I was praying to God that I would not fail while trying to get on the lift. My cousin and I had to wait in the longest line , and by the time it was our turn my feet ached from the snowboard boots. I saw the lifts fly past me; I knew I had to pull a miracle, so I pushed myself but it was not enough and then something whacked my back and I then knew that I had made it on the lift. …show more content…
As we were coming to the end of the cold ride the bar lifted up and I had to get into position for the landing, with one foot in and one out, I had managed to land a plane with no landing gear. My heart was racing as I buckled my second foot in the boot; I was then ready to go down the mountain for my first time. I started out with a green slope for beginners, which was packed with little ski I school kids, as I was trying to turn my board I ended up jumping the berm and landing into a tree. I was laying in the freezing cold snow trying to get up with my board even though my feet were begging me to stop I went on. My body was giving up but we were about 30 minutes from the bottom and I was so thirsty and my head was pounding, so my cousin said that we could take the shortcut down and that was straight down. By this time I was so tired that I just did not care so I just went down, as I started to proceed down my stomach started to drop down and I was flying past all of the skI school

At Red Scaffold my cousins Gabriel, Josh, Tristan and I ride bikes. Gabriel and I wrap ropes on our back tires to create traction like chains on the rear tires. Consequently, I think the ropes work well on ice and snow, you don’t slide around on the slippery ice and can move well in the snow. My cousin Gabriel and I go through mountainous snow drifts and the ropes help enormously, so we don’t spin out. Last year we wrecked a lot while riding our bikes because the ice was like glass, causing us to slip often.…

Even though Jack was next to me checking my ticket, he did not seem to care that someone was throwing ice balls at me.
