Snowdin: A Short Story

It was a cold and stormy night within the caverns of Snowdin. Rain from the stalagmites had been collected and poured onto Snowdin as well as onto a young girl. The girl was a newcomer from New Home and had decided to move to Snowdin due to the overcrowding happening there. She shivered as she walked towards a bunny rabbit-type monster. She approached the monster shyly,

"E-ehm... e-excuse me, c-can you tell me where one can get out of the rain and s-some place warm...?" she said.

"Huh...? You must be pretty new here, huh? Well Snowdin is pretty small, Grillby's is the social spot right over there, and if ya don't gotta a place to go, the inn lady is pretty leniant, so she'll probably let ya stay the night." The bunny said. The girl nodded in thanks as she ran towards Grillby's.

As the assignment requires we write an annotated bibliography of a newspaper article, and since an annotated bibliography requires in-depth knowledge on the subject, I knew exactly which article to write about. This past April I performed with Shakespeare Carolina in their production of The Winter’s Tale; we received a sparkling review from Charlotte’s toughest critic, Perry Tannenbaum. Since this was such a joyous occasion for the entire cast, I knew it would be fitting to annotate this review for my assignment, as I can use my personal connection with the article to truly illustrate the content. First, I pulled the newspaper from my personal records and read it once again in order to remind myself of every detail of the article. I then critically…

The tone of the story Snow by Ann Beattie was very miscellaneous. Why I find this story miscellaneous is because there were different perspective put in each paragraph which not only made it complex but a little jumbled. The story talks about a house in which they lived in and tells us how big of an impact it was on their lives. We start off the story at house where they just start re decorating and tells us about how people would visit them and try and tell them about their memories while sitting near the fireplace. In the second paragraph we have a switch of perspectives and are told about how people were just telling stories near the fireplace with moonlight shining in the sky and how the squirrel ran back into the dark.…
