Snow Wrecking Research Paper

Improved Essays
At Red Scaffold my cousins Gabriel, Josh, Tristan and I ride bikes. Gabriel and I wrap ropes on our back tires to create traction like chains on the rear tires. Consequently, I think the ropes work well on ice and snow, you don’t slide around on the slippery ice and can move well in the snow. My cousin Gabriel and I go through mountainous snow drifts and the ropes help enormously, so we don’t spin out. Last year we wrecked a lot while riding our bikes because the ice was like glass, causing us to slip often. Now, after using ropes on our tires it really helps because we don’t like to wreck. Wrecking really hurts because your knees hit the ground on the slippery ice and you get scraped and bruised.

Purpose I’m writing to propose ATC purchase an alternative traction device instead of snow chains. The current method of complying with mandatory snow chain laws is to purchase metal snow chains for the drivers to carry through the states and provinces where it is mandatory to have them in the trucks during the winter months. Situation Snow chains are cumbersome, heavy, and are often stolen when left behind for the ETLLC group to retrieve. The approximate weight of a set of snow chains is 80lbs and most loads will need to carry three sets, with a total extra weight of 240lbs.…

My first experience of snow was like a snow globe, except it seemed whoever was shaking it wasn’t going to stop. Snow Globes are a model of a scene surrounded by particles of fake, white matter resembling snow, but when shaken it turns to a magnificent snowstorm. While I have many snow globes at my house collected from my childhood, this was the first one I was in. I think a lot about the countless times my dad has told me of stories of his childhood. His numerous adventures of snow days, seasonal change, and free time in the backyard.…
