Snoop Dogg Research Paper

Someone’s rise to stardom can take a day or many years to reach, but at the same time all of that hard work can be washed away by one wrong mistake. An artist that has had experience with this is Snoop Dogg whether it be internal problems in a record label or run-ins with the law that left him on the run Snoop has faced problems that threatened his career and forced him to make some tough choices to save his career from falling apart. Back in 1992 when Snoop Dogg first signed to Death Row Records everything was great, he was getting paid to do what he loved and he was hanging out with some of the best rappers of that time, but all that began to crumble when Suge Knight began to let his street ties seep into his record label. This time it was after assaulting a fan, while preforming a man ran up on stage and put his arm around Snoop Dogg. Soon after that he was thrown to the ground and beaten by Snoop Dogg and his entourage for about two minutes and left with bruised ribs and a broken nose. As a result of this attack Snoop Dogg was sued and lost a lot of fans who thought he was a changed man, but it was apparent he had not changed that much. To correct this problem Snoop apologized to all his fans and tried to convince him that he has changed. After all the research I have done I’ve learned a lot of valuable information and problem solving skills that are useful to me and my peers’ entering the music industry. Some of those lessons learned where never mix your personal life with your business or career because it can bring unwanted problems, watch the company you keep because they can be your downfall, and another thing I learned was make sure you read the fine print of a contract so you don’t get everything took from you.
