Snarky Puppy’s RPK was a bit long for their summary of their band, but that is due to how popular the band is. They are a world class, Grammy-winning band that tours all the time. In their Bio they tell the reader who is in their band and who each of the members have worked with, like Shaun Martin who has worked with renowned R&B singer Erykah Badu. Their bio shows that they are an influential band in this era. They also tell the audience about one of their latest albums “Tell Your Friends” and that they are working on another album this year. Their whole EPK shows what they are up to and upcoming shows as well.

They are a hip hop, jazz and soul band from Chicago, IL. They talk about influences like the Greatest Hip Hop Producer J Dilla and they talk about how they started with Rico Sisney starting the band. The band doesn’t have as much clout to their name as Snarky Puppy but their EPK shows what is needed for the venue to get a sense of the band. The band has upcoming shows and featured tracks as well as pics of the band. I think this is a viable EPK to send to …show more content…
The description of the band will tell promoters what other bands they can either headline or open for as well as what venues will work for that certain style. Without videos of the band playing the promoter has no idea if the band is any good, the band could be bluffing about their chops. Finally the following of the band will represent how much the venue could make from the band. If the band has a lot of people showing up then the Venue will earn a lot of money. However, growing a band’s fan base takes time, so that is where the videos can show the band’s chops. When I make my One sheet I should have videos of me playing in a band showing that I can work well in a band scenario, or have tracks that I have produced to show my skill in music production. My EPK should show what I am good at so that the promoter can see my strengths rather than my

My notes had clear information about the purpose of the poster and the deadlines, but I will have to clarify a few things before having the full details required to produce the Karaoke poster. For example, I do not know the specific room that will be used, the name of the entertainer and the details of the tickets. Once I have the outstanding information confirmed I will use PowerPoint to design my document, as I find PowerPoint more versatile for creating this type of document than Word. I will enter the text in the computer using the keyboard and include in the layout pictures and a music theme to produce an attractive A3 poster.…

George Saunders’ “Puppy” and Toni Morrison’s “Recitatif” tell of two different stories with different characters in presumably different time periods. Both authors have drastically different backgrounds that bring them to these tales. However, their works of literature are more comparable than one would initially think. From the perspective of the reader, the intent of Puppy was to stress that there is often more to something than meets the eye and that because of this, we tend to want for things that we do not really understand. The families that appear in this story are perceived differently on the surface than they actually are underneath everything.…
