The drummer and the drums are the very backbone of many bands and orchestras. If the drummer is weak and offbeat, most of the time the band will become astray. Since the drums and the drummer give the backbone for the other players they are the anchor for the band. So how has the drums turned from some pig skin on a circular piece of wood to a whole drum kit used to anchor a band.

There have been many recorded battles that have changed to the use of the drums. Also the drums that were used in war was also a mean if communication. Different beats echoing throughout war allowed strategists to know what was happening in the war zone and then they were able to send a beat back to a drummer boy.
The snare drum has a history dating back to 1300 in Tabor. It was a double headed drum with single thread of snare. In the Middle Ages the snare drum was played in unison with a three holed flute, This tradition lives on in Modern European Folk Music. As technology got more advanced the snare was able to tighten by the turn of a screw rather than lacing the snare around the drum over and over again.
For many drummers a drumstick is a vital part in other to use a drum. For many it can be classified as an extension of their arm. Drumsticks made their first noted appearance in the 7th century, Asia. Over the last few centuries the basic concept of the drumstick has not changed. They include the tip, the shoulder and the
