Snapmaw Dichotomy

Sony has released several videos showing off the mechanical beasts that roam the world of Horizon Zero Dawn. These hulking beasts are perhaps the most intriguing facet of the game. In a world that has been taken back to its primordial roots, these beasts represent technology at its highest point. The dichotomy that exists in Horizon Zero Dawn is truly amazing.
The first video shows of the Snapmaw. The Snapmaw is a crocodile-like machine that utilizes its powerful jaw and tail, coupled with its unique Freeze Burst ability, to make taking one down quite the challenge. In the video, we see the Snapmaw lunging from one side of a marsh to us, with its gigantic jaw extended, ready to deliver the killing blow. With the Snapmaw having ice abilities it only makes sense that it is vulnerable to fire arrows and such. Sitting on the underside of the beast is a Cryo Sac. This houses the machines freezing elements. Aloy can exploit this weakness by shooting the Cryo Sac and freeze the Snapmaw, turning its greatest weapon into its greatest weakness.
Second up is a video showcasing the famous Thunderjaw, this was the first large battle we saw in Horizon Zero Dawn when it was unveiled at E3 a few years back. There’s no hiding the fact that the Thunderjaw is meant

The Stormbird features electrical based attack such as a Shock Blast, Shock Burst, Thunder Bomb Run. The beast also has a Hurricane Blast. The beast will use a combination of electrical based attacks with beak and claw strikes. Thunder Crash is the bird’s special ability, which shows it crashing into the ground while surrounded by a field of electricity. Presumably shocking and paralyzing anyone close enough. It appears the only way to take the bird down is by either removing the engines from its wings or disabling its lightning gun. The video doesn’t actually show you defeating the beast, so this beast may prove to be quite

In I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, an autobiography, by Maya Angelou, is about Ritie, an African-American female raised in the tradition-ridden south, and later in the fast-paced, advancing cities of the western coast. To be more specific, at first, it started as an unobtrusive annoyance, but shortly afterwards, it became a genuinely dreadful and sticky threat, forcing the hapless Forensic Pathologist Jack Cucchiaio to run for his life. The menace: A feral omnipresent entity that never sleeps, never forgets, and above all, never forgives.…

Thomas Hobbes of Malmesbury was a 17th century English philosopher best known for his 1651 book Leviathan. It concerns the structure of a society and legitimate government. his overall goal is to explain why a commonwealth may govern over man and the best way for this state to function to accommodate the needs of its citizens In the Leviathan Hobbes starts with man, He expresses that man is nothing but a creature driven by the constant motions of the world. This leads to man’s constant desires which naturally pits each man against each other. “He felt the thud of the bodies, heard the fluttering of wings; but the birds were not yet defeated, for again and again they returned to the assault, jabbing his hands, his head, their little stabbing beaks sharp as pointed forks” (Daphne du Maurier’s The Birds). This enthralling scene is an excerpt from none other than Daphne du Maurier’s The Birds, and it inserts a perfect picture in the reader’s head of the suffering Nat is undergoing. In the short story The Birds, Nat must defend his family from the invasion of birds, and the author creates a suspenseful story with strong imagery during and after the raid of the birds.…

The battle at Midway island, approximately half the distance between Asia and the United States, in June of 1942 was one of the most significant battles that the American military would fight during the course of World War II, and author Craig Symonds reports the details in his book, The Battle at Midway. Despite many accounts of this battle, Symonds offers a unique and incredibly researched narrative that brings his work into its own interpretation, separate from others. Symonds description of some of the major histories written about the event describe the view held by the majority, that the battle at Midway was one of luck or miracle, yet Symonds’ thesis offers objection to this by stating that “the outcome of the battle was primarily the…
