In order to successfully launch the SnapLid, a team will be formed called the SnapLid Product Launch Team and will consist of one member from the Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Production Team. Those Teams were selected because they play a pivotal role in the production and launch of the SnapLid. These teams will have a representative present at each meeting to discuss their role in the product launch. The representative that is chosen from each team will serve as the SnapLid Project Manager for their respective team. They will also be responsible for relaying the information that is discussed in the meetings to their teams. All these pertinent teams will collaborate in the launch of the SnapLid, so it is critical that …show more content…
The project managers of each of those teams will meet monthly for the first 6 months and biweekly thereafter until the launch of the SnapLid. In order to successfully manage and delegate tasks to the appropriate departments, a log will be implemented for the Team to ensure that the tasks can be known and completed within a certain time frame (Mind Tools n.d). The Project Manager representative of each team will be responsible for relaying the tasks to be completed to the team on a weekly basis. The Product Engineer Manager and SnapLid Product Launch Team will provide the most insight to implementing the total quality management techniques because they have a thorough understanding of the technology. Thus, they could work to continuously find ways to apply improvement techniques to reduce costs and increase return on investment. One way that the firm can implement total quality management is to ensure that customer requirements are met with the SnapLid as long as they comply with the manufacturing requirements set out by the industry. Thus, research can be done with the target market to identify what our customer requirements are. Also in addition to the SnapLid Production Launch Team, the firm can have a person who facilitate an improvement team to see if any processes, procedures or goals can be improved with the SnapLid. Pertinent teams will have the platform to discuss the launch and continuously work to find ways to improve the launch and implement total quality management techniques. This will not only be implemented for the launch of the SnapLid, but also for their existing products as well. That way efficiency and productivity measures will frequently be
