Snapchat geofilters allow users to dress up a photo, but only if they are in the right location. The filters change based on where the person is when they take the picture, and someone in New York City will see different filters than individuals who are taking shots in Miami. In the past, users were limited to the geofilters offered through the company, but that has now changed. Community geofilters enable users to submit an idea and have their image distributed to a large group.
