Over the past recent years, the advancement of technology has led to incredible innovations, many of which being related to the development and use of the smartphone. Whether it be an iOS or Android device, the smartphone is capable of executing incredible functions. A popular necessity of the use of smartphones are the applications that can be downloaded and/or bought through app stores, respective to each device. There are millions of apps, with categories ranging from business and productivity, to entertainment and social networking. With the amount of apps that can be downloaded, there are bound to be certain similarities in the main function and features of these applications.
Snapchat and Instagram are each two of the most popular apps in the app store. On iOS devices, Snapchat and Instagram rank third and fourth, respectively, on the top charts in Canada (App Annie, 2017). As a frequent user of both of these apps, I feel that Snapchat is indeed similar to Instagram. As both of these applications are used
