Snapchat and Instagram are each two of the most popular apps in the app store. Snapchat users also have the option of importing contacts, and can also search for other users to add by entering their username or scanning an individual’s Snapchat barcode. On Snapchat, following another users means that you are “friends.” Similar to how Instagram users can see posts of people that they follow, Snapchat users can send and receive photos and videos from their “friends”. An Instagram account can be made private by choice, meaning that other users must request to follow someone, and only once the request is approved can a user have access to a private account’s posts.
