A wide variety of people showed up at the snack snack; homeless veterans, bachelor parties, musicians, construction workers, and police officers to name a few. I learned life is very different outside my suburban bubble from all these people in the few months I worked at Snack Shack. This lesson would help me grow as a person and transition into adulthood.

After the musicians would finish their show they would sometimes stop by the snack shack and buy a drink as they left. The wide age range of these musicians surprised me. Some were only 18 years old while others were in their 60s. I noticed that even at 60 these musicians were still pursuing their dreams. Even though the only shows they could get were local, they did not allow their goals to be crushed and persevered through adversity and clinged on to their passion of music. This showed me that giving up is not an option and that no matter what challenges you face; the only beat them is to keep going and push forward.
This simple job at the Snack Shack proved to be worth much more than 7.25 an hour. The knowledge that gained help me grow up and see the life of others and not take things for granted. I learned valuable life lessons that I would use in high school and hopefully will use in the
