Conduct the C1.2.1 Define mission, goals, and objectives activity for the system-of- interest. You are to develop the mission, goals and objectives at the system level, not the project level.
Assumptions
- Australian Camp Services employees will run the campground.
- Project considerations will be considered and may be added to the draft statements, at a later date.
The need for a mission statement.
- Provides customers and stakeholders with a clear and concise view of the projects core(DeCarlo, 2002).
- Allows project team a way ahead with precision, haste, interest and power(DeCarlo, 2002).
- Important that the expansion of the system start with a concise mission statement(Ryan, 2016).
- Allows backward traceability(Ryan, 2016).
Develop Mission, Goals and Objectives.
I have followed the iterative process in developing the mission, goals and objectives. My thought process behind this, is to provide backward traceability. A back and forward flow that allows me to easily revise the mission, goals, objectives, elements and statements. As thought processes change, it is inevitable that the mission, goals and objectives will also change(DeCarlo, 2002) (Ryan, 2016).
