Smoking Is Wrong Persuasive Speech

Over 10 years ago my daughter at the age of 11 came to me and asked, dad, why are you killing yourself by smoking? She was upset at the notion of me potentially leaving this world prematurely.

How could I respond to her? I made the decision to make a promise to her that I was going to stop smoking for good. That evening I went to the chemist and bought nicotine patches and gum and stopped smoking. Since that day I have never had a cigarette!!!

I started smoking in the workplace due to 90% of my work colleagues at the time were smokers and to be part of the team I felt I needed to smoke. We would have 10-minute breaks every 1 to 2 hours throughout the day; we would smoke, have a coffee, talk and be social.

We all know smoking kills but
