Smaug the dragon, had been living on a pile of wealth beyond any man’s wildest dreams for a very long while, until a local resident named Bard, stood his ground and killed the dragon just as people were starting to give up hope after the beast invaded at dusk.
“I had a moment of clarity” Bard said “I knew that I couldn’t abandon my people so I shot my last arrow, and by luck it hit and killed Smaug.”
A witness told us “right as I started making a break for a ship out to sea, I saw the mighty creature fall, defeated into the lake.” A bystander said “I thought Lake-Town was done for until we started sailing back to shore, but most of the damage had already been done.” …show more content…
The arrow that had killed Smaug had been in Bards possession for most of his life. Everytime Bard used the arrow he recovered it, but not this time. That arrow was his last left and it made a fitting end to it by making contact and killing Smaug.
Now that there is no dragon guarding Thoror’s treasure, groups have been gathering to go and collect what they can. Bard is planning on returning to Dale to take over where his ancestors left off as he is of royal
