Smartphones Make People Stupid

Smartphones do not make people stupid. Smartphones greatly increase distractions, but as most know, stupid is not synonymous with distracted. Smartphones increase the accessibility of knowledge and increase the chances of people learning something. They may even become informed accidentally with various applications that buzz notifications about whats going on in the world. Smartphones may however decrease the value of knowledge. With nearly all the world's information at your fingertips that can be accessed with a couple of strokes, anyone can learn anything quickly.
