High School in a Small Town

Do you know what it’s like living in a small town? I know what it’s like living in a small town since, I spend the last 8 years living in Dumas. I don’t see much of a violence in Dumas. I think the maximum houses in Dumas is like 300. Dumas only have one field and in that field it’s where special events and games happen such as soccer games, football games, track, and graduation take place in the field too. Unlike big cities I don’t see a lot of homeless people in
Dumas. There are so many churches in Dumas and most of the churches are catholic. Walmart is one of the populist store in Dumas because there wasn’t a lot grocery stores. Walmart is always packed with different kind of people but mostly hispanic.

He expect everyone to get 90 or above in every classes. Our school don’t have field trips and college tours. Although we don’t have field trips and college tours but what we have is pep rally before football games. In order to park your car in school parking lot, you need pay for it and it last like 1 year. Every year you have to renew it. If you get into a fight, you get fined $500 and have to spend 30 days in ISS. If you have 15 absences, you get fined and have to go to court. I’ve been to like 3 different schools but Dumas High School is the strictest school out of all. Most students withdrawal because of the rules but if you stay in Dumas High School you will get good education and your maturity level will be high. The rooms are super big and restroom are clean and have doors and nothing is vandalized. The teachers are super nice. When they grade your paper, they are lenient most of the time. Everyday you have work to do. Not a single day go by without having work unless we have assembly or the teacher is absent. My favorite teacher is Mrs. Stoughton. He teach programming class. Mrs. Stoughton is chubby, bald, and short. He make me wanna come to school everyday. He’s super funny and we do a lot of fun activity. One time we played game for 24 hours to raise money for the kids who have cancer. I don’t like Mrs. Kerr class and Mrs. Kerr. She teach English class and I hate English class. My weakest subject is English

Little Rock was established in November of 1851 and derived its name from a rock formation along the “La Petite Roche” river. It is also the county seat of Pulaski County, which may contribute to the reason why this thriving city is so populous. Little Rock has various centers throughout the area that range from cultural, economic, government, and even transportation.…

Every little girl grows up loving horses, but most outgrow that desire. I never did. When I was young, I was scared of them because the first horse I fed a carrot to looked as though he could eat me. I was 4 years old and also the size of his head. For the longest time, I wished to ride and train horses even though I did not know a single thing about doing that; today, I teach other people more about how horses work within their herd and how humans can better work with their horse.…

The school calendar should not run year-round because students perform better, and extra costs are avoided, however students would have more learning opportunities. All year long I look forward to summer. It's a time to be with friends, have no homework, and be carefree.…

The good thing about this schools that I like is will motivate the students and tell them what exactly what to do also the teacher would help and see what every student is doing but the only thing is that the teacher do not gives any ideas to students when a students are not sure about an answer for a question. Also the teacher does not have the control of the classroom when students get noisy or get up from their desk. Some students are noisy and annoying and it’s very hard for a person to deal with so many students at the same time when they are noisy. I remember back in the days in high school some of the student were noisy and annoying or just throwing papers and it was hard for a teacher to take the control of the class. She just called the securities from the school to take them out the class.…

Parker Hargett Professor Hagen Sustainable cities 13 October 2015 New York city The city that I decided to write about for this assignment is New York City. The reason that I decided to choose this city was because of the interesting historic events that have happened in the city of New York and how it has come to one of the most thriving cities that is also the culture capital of the United States. New york officially did not get its name until the 18th century when the British seized New Amsterdam from the dutch giving it a new name: New York City. For the next century, New York's population started to increase allowing immigrants from Germany, Netherlands, and France. The city played an important role in transporting goods through…
