Larger classes make public schools enrollment go down because parents see the class size and know how much that will affect their child's learning. Parents do not value the standardized test scores as much as they do their child's education, which will be lowered in the larger classes of public schools. With smaller classes the students who need extra help will receive the one on one time they need with their teachers. Thanks to this extra attention students will have a better understanding of all subjects. This will also help them receive more money in scholarships.
