As a whole, is going to a summer sleep-away camp as a child a positive experience or a negative one? From what I have learned from my experience and research, I have found that going away can be a positive thing for a child. For example, when a child goes away from their family for a sleep-away camp they have to separate from their families breaking all ties for a few days or weeks. This is a good thing because of the fact that this child when they grow up is going to have to leave their family anyways for college, work, and their own life in the real world. In exchange for them leaving their family they learn independence instead of dependence, hardships and solutions, learn to meet new people, and most of all get a taste of what they will
