One of the men she interview was a Hmong refugee named Neng Her. They spoke about his nightmare and experience with the evil spirit of dab tsog and if he thought there was any correlation between the traditional Hmong religion and Christian converts.…

Before watching this documentary, I had never heard of any of these temporal lobe epilepsy facts. I think what really blew my mind was the part where the girl having night terrors was able to get rid of them after removing the alarm clock from her room. It made me wonder if people who suffer from sleep paralysis could benefit from this knowledge and obliterate or at least decrease the amount of nights they suffer from sleep paralysis simply by removing objects that could be overstimulating their temporal lobe. I personally have faith in a God but not in any particular religion.…
Narcolepsy Marilyn Monroe once said, “The nicest thing for me is sleep, then at least I can dream.” There are many different sleeping disorders, especially in this stressful life, where people do not get enough sleep every day. About 15-30% of these patients suffer from sleep disorders. Narcolepsy-cataplexy is the main non-respiratory sleep disorder that causes EDS behind only sleep apnoea. The most understood hypersomnia is narcolepsy-cataplexy syndrome. The reason this syndrome is the most understood is due to the explanation of hypocretin (orexins) in the pathophysiology of human narcolepsy-cataplexy. The diagnosis of narcolepsy-cataplexy now includes the criteria of low CSF levels of hypocretin due to findings in recent studies.…
This pause is caused by the collapse or narrowing of the upper airway. The result of this collapse reduces the amount of oxygen being produced and absorbed by the bloodstream, which in turn makes it hard for the person's heart to work at a safe level. In addition to the low oxygen levels, it also causes a person's natural sleep cycle to be disturbed or interrupted. When the sleep cycles are interrupted or disturbed, it can make a person feel poorly or like they have not received enough rest despite having slept for the whole night. People with (OSA) can have as little as 30 or up to as much as 300 events per night.…
