Thriller Story
Sleep paralysis is the inability to move or speak when falling asleep or upon waking. The feeling is so horrifying because you've always been able to move. When someone has sleep paralysis they feel vulnerable and watched.

One day as I was walking home from a long day at work. I felt really strange today. I felt like there was always someone next to me...... I rushed in my house and literally passed out from my exhausting day. As I was sleeping, I awoke with my head thundering with heat. I laid there with my eyes open, unable to move. The pain in my head increased after every second. I told myself to move. Move I told myself.

I ordered my arm to move. I used all of my force and still couldn't move it. I laid there unable to move with panic in my eyes, but there was no one to help.

I felt the sweat on both sides of my head. The only things able to move were my eyes. My eyes spun crazily and I tried to calm myself. I felt something next to me once again.

Don't open your eyes Lauren. Don't do it.....

I swore I felt it once again. My head was spinning and I felt as if I was already dead just laying there helplessly...... I was dead I swore I was, but there was just a bit of hope left in me that it was all just a dream.

I couldn't even explain the fear my whole body contained. I felt it once again next to me. As I turned and expected to see nothing.......

I saw its face.

The face I had so much hatred for. The face that's doing this to me. It's face was indescribable. The blood shot eyes that were staring deeply in my soul. It wanted to kill me. The demon disappeared so quickly I thought it was gone. I slowly closed my eyes, but heard the horrifying voice that whispered.....

My most valuable possession was my house. It wasn’t anything fancy or exquisite, but it was there that I had spent the precious moments, however few, with my beloved dad. I remember that we would spend hours playing, running around the arched, brightly lit corridors. On either side, I recall the large mahogany doors which would fluidly open to reveal ancient, chestnut-brown rooms with antique, twin bed frames which were confined within. I will never forget the uncanny gargoyles that were suspended onto the wall behind, the very same monsters who would assault my sleep and curse me with countless numbers of sleepless nights.…
