Walk down the streets of downtown , notice all these people with bags under their eyes. Ogle how sleepy and tired looking they look. Stalk how people yawn waiting for the green light to turn on so they can walk through the streets . Notice how cranky and moody they are . Over all,why people now a days look so moody and tired? Why are these people looking so tired and sleepy ? Why are people of all ages getting less sleep every year? How are people’s lack of sleep affecting them in education and life ? Do we really need sleep? what is sleep?Lack of sleep decreases performance in education, life and health . The less sleep we as humans get, the more moody and ignorant we get. This statement is true. If teens don 't tend to have more than 7 hours of shut eye it affects their daily life and most important ... their EDUCATION . Getting shut eye does affect on educational purposes . Other reason that teens tend to have less sleep is because they attend middle and high schools that start earlier than 8:30 a.m. ,this those really affect teens . Early times throw off student 's internal body rhythm ,called the circadian clock . All humans begins have a circadian clock ,but the teens have to develop and get use to their own circadian clock . As teens tend to be on social media more often ,it becomes more and more tempting to be on technology . "for biological reasons ,the average teen just can 't go to sleep before 11 p.m. " - Judith Owens ,children 's national health system . This quotation that Owens said is true .The average teen gets at least 6 hours or less of sleep ,that is pretty dangerous . The many causes of this complication is social media ,sports ,jobs and early school times . Lack of shut eye effects on developing of teens brains . This regulates on how students perform on their studies . Every year teens are getting less and less sleep and every year lack of performing education is slacking of . The steepest drops in sleep occurred in the years before social media became hugely popular . Teens tend to focus on popularity and that increases the lack of education . Sleep is an important niche that students should start getting . No sleep causes bad brain development , high blood pressure and even anxiety or change in mood
