Skywalker Property Partners is a proven competitor amongst the companies dealing in real estate in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The summer Marketing Internship is a fantastic opportunity to gain further experience in my major, but also to help Skywalker Property Partners grow their image. My accomplishments in both communication and digital marketing, I believe allow me to be qualified for the Marketing Internship position.
Communication is an essential part of daily life, whether on the job or in school. What is overlooked, is how to be effective, but make sure the message is clear. At Toyota’s national headquarters, I interned in their customer call center. There I helped with customers problems from Bluetooth issues all the way to engine failure. At one point another intern and myself were selected to a special projects’ team. The task we had was to take specific phone calls about the newly designed Camry’s infotainment system and try to fix the customers’ issues. When I was on this team, I was not on the normal incoming call system or tracked like normal call representatives. At Circle J Fabrications I was able to develop a social media plan and improve their website. Before I got to Circle J, they had a very little online presence. In the first few weeks, I did mainly research on what their competitors did on social media and fixing bugs on the website. After this research, the other intern and I came together to come up with ideas to use for weekly posts and seasonal posts. We also came up with a survey to have a better understanding of Circle J’s customer demographics to which we then did a Facebook competition in which a user won a free fire pit. With these tasks I got Circle J’s website cleaned up, around 1,200 new page likes and followers, and a plan for postings in place for a great local
