"So I should look into the background of the spectators in your case, maybe see if my list of girls silenced by the priest has any common people?"
"And if that doesn't work, look at the background of everyone there, anybody with experiences similar to mine that would have made them sympathetic."
"Alright."
Danny hung up and carried her kitten to the kitchen with her. She was home alone again and Skyfall kept the anxiety away. That was one of the reasons she had adopted the cat.

The kitten seemed happy enough, so Danny settled down with The Hobbit. It was a book she took a large amount of comfort from. She read it for the first time with her in fifth grade and fell in love. She was in kindergarten (which was the same grade I was in) and later in 1st grade. It was in the point of view of Junie, so it showed her struggles in growing up, learning in school, making friends, and figuring out the world. There were times that she felt disconnected from her parents, which was something that I felt all the time. I saw so much of myself in her, that I couldn’t get enough of the books. She was the first character that I ever felt a real connection with.…

Fantastic images flew by as I scanned the interior.…

Of all the philosophers, politicians, activists, and great thinkers we have covered in class, the one who has influenced my outlook on life the to the greatest degree is J.R.R. Tolkien. His seemingly endless imagination that creates a massive fantasy universe full of whimsical beings and stunning landscapes while still managing to weave real world issues and experiences into his tales is something that has changed my life. With themes of free will, overcoming trials in any endeavor, and companionship, this is the perfect book to mold the ideas of an impressionable young boy reading a science fiction novel for the first time. Though Tolkien states “I cordially dislike allegory in all its manifestations…” (Tolkien 134) it does not imply that there is no meaning to the story, just that it is up to the reader to determine and not for the author to dictate.…
